Inbound links are like votes of confidence for your website.  Google sees another site linking to yours and it says to itself this site must be respected a little bit.  Then he (Google) finds other sites and adds to that vote count.  When google finds relevant links (links from sites of a similar subject) these are counted as even bigger votes of confidence.

What a great way to celebrate the end of the year.  Google has updated PageRanks for most pages.  We see pages that didn’t have ranks now being ranked and some of which have been rewarded well.

I was pleased to see a competitor who had a overated Ranking before drop by 3 ranks.  It seems Google has come to its senses there – Thanks Google. Read the rest of this entry »
